Deepening Faith Through Biblical Call Stories
The Sacred Calling Podcast is an audio series led by John A. Studebaker that digs into the “call narratives” of the Bible — stories like the call of Abraham, Moses, David, and the disciples of Jesus Christ — to help Christians, especially pastors and ministry leaders, rediscover their own divine calling in life and ministry. Rather than focusing on just a “job” or ministry role, the podcast emphasizes a three-fold understanding of calling: the vertical call (your relationship with God), the horizontal call (your mission or life-purpose), and the practical call (the concrete steps and vision for everyday living and ministry). Through reflections on these biblical call stories, the podcast offers spiritual, theological, and practical guidance — helping listeners overcome burnout, clarify their life’s mission, set vision and goals, and re-align their daily living with God’s call. Apple Podcasts+1
The broader initiative behind the podcast — Bridge Ministries, Inc. — provides coaching, workshops and community support for leaders wanting to live out their callings with renewed focus, clarity and joy.
