Fall Creek Abbey is an urban day retreat house in Indianapolis thoughtfully designed for those seeking to reconnect their hearts with the heart of God. They welcome those desiring personal retreat space for the day. When someone walks through the doors into the Abbey, it’s not uncommon for them to pause and want to name what they’re feeling: the sensation of peace, quiet, welcome and simple beauty. Many who come are seeking a sanctuary where they will be undisturbed, yet lovingly supported; a place of rest and solitude, as well as rich conversation; a private setting where they can be anonymous and not responsible for anyone but themselves.

Fall Creek Abbey also offers spiritual direction during the day retreats and also in a separate capacity for anyone interested. Offerings are available in Indianapolis and virtually. Spiritual direction is an ancient ministry of listening for the presence and activity of God in the life of another. During a session of spiritual direction, a director will prayerfully listen for God’s movement in the life of the directee, attuning to the directee's relationship with and experience of God. The effect for the directee is often a heightened sense of God's presence and action permeating all of life and prayer.
